Session Booking Terms
By booking a session you hereby agree:
- Your session booking is not confirmed until paid for and confirmed by email.
- You may cancel your session for any reason up until 3 days after birth and you will receive a full refund on your session fee.
- You will advise Jade of the birth of your baby within 2 calendar days (48 hours) of the birth so that a mutually acceptable session date can be scheduled so that you sessions takes place within 2 weeks of you giving birth.
- If Jade is informed of the birth more than 48 hours after the birth and / or if you are not available for your offered session (which will be when the baby is between 6-12 days old) then you acknowledge there is a possibility it will not be possible to schedule in your session and it may be cancelled.
- You will discuss with Jade any particular preferences or requests for your session prior to the day of the session to give Jade adequate time to discuss and prepare. During the session it is generally not possible to change the setup prepared for your baby such as props, colours and layouts.
- To ensure adequate lighting for your session (Jade uses natural light) you will need to be able to arrive on the day of your your session by 9:30 am.
- You are not permitted to take any photos or video whether by camera, mobile phone etc. during the session.
- If you are a professional photographer or work in the photography industry you will disclose details to Jade prior to booking or at least within 48 hours of making your booking as there are additional terms and conditions for those in the industry and a different price list applies. Failure to disclose this may result in cancellation of your session.
- You will advise Jade of any issues with your baby that may affect the session or baby including but not limited to whether or not your baby has jaundice or any difficulties during birth.
- The minimum order to be placed for a newborn session (not including this session fee) is $600. The minimum order amount is to be paid within 7 days of your session taking place and is required to be paid prior to your session's photo gallery being made available to you. This $600 is credited to your order. Maternity session orders are separate and not included in the newborn order.
- I understand that as the photographer Jade owns copyright to images and may from time to time use some images for promotional and marketing purposes. If you do not wish for Jade to use any images for promotional or marketing purposes then you must advise Jade in writing before your session and there is a $250 privacy retainer fee payable per session.
- Maternity session orders need to be paid within 2 weeks after the session taking place.
- Jade does her absolute best to be available to complete a photography session for every session booking. If however Jade is unable to do your session due to urgent commitments, unforeseen circumstances, sickness, factors outside of Jade’s control or for any other reason then you agree that your photography session will be cancelled and that you will be refunded your session fee in full.
- Images are typically available for viewing 4-6 weeks after your session. A reduced time period may be possible with payment of a 'rush fee' of $350. This must be requested at the time of the session.
- Once your images are ready Jade will contact you to arrange a mutually agreeable time for a viewing session at her studio or your gallery may be made available to you online.
- If you are viewing your images at a viewing session your image / product order should be placed during the viewing session.
- If viewing your images via online gallery, once your gallery is made available to you your order is to be placed within 7 days.
- Jade keeps copies of your images for 3 months from the date of your session after which they may be deleted.
